The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to seek to preserve the value of the Sub-Fund 's initial offer price by the maturity date of 30 September 2030 and to seek to provide capital appreciation. The Sub-Fund aims to achieve its investment objective by investing physically and/or synthetically in bonds, which can be fixed rate, floating rate or inflation linked-secutiries, including sub-investment grade bonds. Synthetic exposure is obtained by buying and selling credit default swaps ('CDS') on sovereign bonds.The Sub-Fund does not take short positions. The Sub-Fund may invest up to 100% of its net assets in Italian government bonds and supranationals. The Sub-Fund may also invest in government bond issued by G10 countries. The Sub-Fund may also gain exposure to the performance of a basket CDS or credit indices focused on a diversified portfolio of European corporate issuers and to single name CDS referencing European financial and non financial corporations. The Sub-Fund may also sell CDS on government or corporate issuers to gain extra yield and align the portfolio to the maturity date.
