comdirect: Frauke Hegemann to replace Martina Palte as Customer Management and HR Officer on Board of Managing Directors

Frauke Hegemann (42) is joining the management of comdirect bank AG on 1 April 2018. She will replace Martina Palte (49), who is stepping down from her role as Customer Management and HR Officer on the Board of Managing Directors on 31 March 2018 before taking up a position at Berliner Volksbank on 1 September 2018.

In addition to the areas of Customer Management and Human Resources, Hegemann will be responsible for Legal, Data Protection & Organisation, Information Security & Outsourcing Management, and Building Finance and Provisioning. She is also set to become a member of the Supervisory Boards of ebase GmbH, onvista media GmbH and onvista AG. She will perform her new role in the capacity of Chief Representative until her appointment to the Board of Managing Directors takes effect.

As Divisional Manager and Head of Private Investors & Family Offices at Commerzbank AG in Frankfurt, Hegemann is currently responsible for managing the division for the Private Investors & Family Offices customer group in Germany, which she established as the first cross-segment division. Prior to that, she led the Media and Institutional Customers industry teams at Commerzbank’s Corporate Banking division in Hamburg. As a qualified bank clerk, she has held various management and leadership roles at Commerzbank. She has extensive experience in the areas of customer management and asset management. “I am pleased that we have recruited to comdirect a real doer and a proven banking business expert in Frauke Hegemann who will bring her long-standing experience to the areas of customer management and sales in particular, while maintaining an overall focus on customers. Martina Palte to leave comdirect on 31 March 2018
Martina Palte is leaving comdirect at her own request on 31 March 2018 in order to take up a position at Berliner Volksbank as of 1 September 2018. She has worked at the bank since 2000, most recently since 2012 as Customer Management and HR Officer on the Board of Managing Directors. “Martina Palte is an expert in digital banking. She helped shape comdirect in a wide range of roles and advanced its key strategic issues with great resilience and diplomacy at all times. In particular, this included establishing comdirect as a leader in customer service quality together with continuous efficiency gains which have supported dynamic customer growth and developing a contemporary work environment to enable creativity and agility,” says Mandel before adding: “We would like to thank her for such great dedication to comdirect over all these years. We are very sorry to see her go and we wish her all the best in her future career.”
