Change on the Board of Managing Directors of comdirect bank: Holger Hohrein to succeed current CFO Christian Diekmann
Quickborn, With effect from 1 October this year, Holger Hohrein (41) will be a new member of the Board of Managing Directors of comdirect bank AG and successor to CFO and HR Director Christian Diekmann (47), who steps down from office on 30 September.
Diekmann has been the Chief Financial Officer of comdirect bank for around five years as well as the HR Director since 2012. "Christian Diekmann has been instrumental in comdirect's further development in the past few years, for example with regard to establishment of the comdirect group's B2B business line," stressed Martin Zielke, Supervisory Board Chairman of comdirect bank. "We would like to thank him for his great dedication and outstanding achievements, and wish him every success as he pursues new professional challenges." Diekmann is leaving the company at his own request to take up the position of Managing Director at the Zertus Group in Hamburg.
Hohrein has been a Divisional Manager at comdirect bank since 2008 with responsibility for Finance, Controlling & Risk Management. The new Board member trained as a banker, has a degree in business administration and was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company for nine years. "Holger Hohrein brings extensive expertise and the corresponding experience from his time as a consultant to major banks," explained Zielke. "He has already made significant contributions to comdirect bank over the past few years, including with respect to the overall bank reporting and controlling system and in risk management. I am delighted that we have the right man for this important job and have thus ensured a smooth transition."
In addition to Finance, Controlling & Risk Management, Hohrein will be responsible for HR, Business Development, Compliance & Money Laundering Prevention as well as B2B business. He is also scheduled to become Supervisory Board Chairman of ebase.
