Michael Mandel, born 1966, has been CEO of comdirect bank AG since 4 March 2008. He is responsible for Business Development and Corporate Communications. Mandel is also Chairman of the Executive Board of the Numeracy Foundation (Stiftung Rechnen) and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Commerz Direktservice GmbH and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of European Bank for Fund Services GmbH (ebase). In addition, Mandel is Deputy Chairman of the Exchange Council of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
After training as a banking clerk and studying business administration at the University of Münster, Mandel completed a graduate training programme at Dresdner Bank. In 2000 he moved to management consultants McKinsey & Company before joining Commerzbank AG in 2002. Here as Divisional Manager in Business Development he played a significant part in developing a new strategy for the division. For the following three years, Mandel was responsible for Commerzbank's new market image and growth programme in retail banking in his role as Group Manager of the Private and Business Customers segment. |

Alexander Boldyreff, born 1967, has been a member of the Board of Managing Directors of comdirect bank AG since 1 July 2009. He heads up Marketing & Sales, Product Management, Treasury and Advice. Boldyreff is also a member of the Supervisory Board of European Bank for Fund Services GmbH (ebase).
After training as a bank clerk, Alexander Boldyreff was responsible for strategic sales projects at Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechsel-Bank. In 1998, he oversaw the bank's branch integration into Vereins- und Westbank, where he became General Bank Manager in 2003. From 2005, Boldyreff was Head of Sales for two regions at HypoVereinsbank. Most recently he was a Divisional Manager at HypoVereinsbank and a member of the European Retail Banking Steering Committee of UniCredit Group with responsibility for sales to private and business customers in Germany. |

Dr. Christian Diekmann, born 1965, has been CFO of comdirect Bank AG since 1 May 2009. In addition to Finance, Controlling & Risk Management, Diekmann is responsible for Internal Audit, Legal Services & Compliance, Institutional Business and the business-to-business activities of European Bank for Fund Services GmbH (ebase). Diekmann is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of European Bank for Fund Services GmbH (ebase) and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Numeracy Foundation (Stiftung Rechnen).
After training as a bank clerk, Diekmann studied business administration at the Universities of Cologne and Rotterdam before obtaining his doctorate at the University of Halle-Wittenberg. He joined management consultants McKinsey & Company in 1996, where as Project Manager he advised banks on matters relating to retail banking, private banking and process management and commercial enterprises on process and cost management. In 2000 Diekmann moved to the private banking group Sal. Oppenheim as Head of Oppenheim Investor and set up the private equity company Argantis, becoming its Investment Director in 2004. Diekmann was appointed as an executive manager of comdirect bank AG at the end of 2008. |

Carsten Strauß, born 1967, has been a member of the Board of Managing Directors of comdirect bank AG since 4 March 2008. He is responsible for Customer Services, Human Resources & Organisation, Process Management and IT. In addition, Strauß is a member of the Executive Board of the Numeracy Foundation (Stiftung Rechnen). Strauß is also a member of the Supervisory Board of European Bank for Fund Services GmbH (ebase) and a member of the Supervisory Board of Commerz Direktservice GmbH.
After training as a bank clerk and studying economics and social sciences at the University of Lüneburg, Strauß began his career in 1997 as Group Manager in Customer Services at comdirect bank. After holding several different managerial positions, he became Divisional Manager in November 2004. |
